Suvereto is a suggestive middle age village with original city walls close to the Tuscan Etruscan site Populonia. It offers a particularly mild climate and lies on the gentle hill slopes that lead from the Cornia valley to the Colline Metallifere; from these first heights you can appreciate the view of the Tyrrhenian coast, the golf of Follonica and the Elba island. The landscape abounds in cork oaks, secular olive trees and vineyards; the typical characteristics of the local economy based on agriculture, forestry and cattle breeding are palpable.

The sea is 20 minute drive from Valdicciola in the gulf of Baratti, in the natural park Rimigliano or by the km long free sandy beach of the Costa Est.
Many charming, interesting and visit’s worthy villages like Massa Marittima, Campiglia Marittima, Castagneto, Bolgheri are less than 30 minutes far from Suvereto; anywhere, next to landscape and historical, architectural aspects, you can enjoy the local oenogastronomic culture.

In Venturina and close to Sassetta there are thermal baths where you can swim in any season, it is particularly nice in winter and at evening.

There are some riding stables where you can rent horses for excursions.

The particolar elevation profiles of our roads is very interesting for cyclists of any skill.

With drives shorter than two hours you can reach most of the main touristic Tuscan destinations (Firenze, Pisa, Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Parco della Maremma,  Argentario, Monte Amiata).

Ferry boats for Elba island leave from the close Piombino’s harbor, while the others islands of the Tuscan archipelago can be reached from Livorno, Castiglione della Pescaia and Porto Santo Stefano.
